Shibuya Sky: What the Ticket Actually Costs, and When to Book It Cheaper
Shibuya Sky's door price is 3,000 yen, but booking online ahead of time drops it to 2,700 yen. Real 2026 pricing by time slot, plus a Klook code that stacks on top.

Shibuya Sky is the open-air observation deck on top of Shibuya Scramble Square, 229 meters above the crossing, and the price you pay for it depends entirely on when you buy the ticket and when you show up. There’s a door price and a cheaper advance price, and a further split between before and after 3pm. We haven’t been up ourselves yet, so this is a straight pricing and booking breakdown rather than a “here’s what we did” story, but the numbers below are real and worth knowing before you buy.
The actual price, by time and by when you book
| Ticket | Before 3pm | After 3pm |
|---|---|---|
| Adult, booked online in advance | 2,700 yen | 3,400 yen |
| Adult, same day at the 14F lobby counter | 3,000 yen | 3,700 yen |
| Child (elementary age and under) | 1,200 yen | 1,200 yen |
Booking online ahead of time saves 300 yen over paying at the door, at either time of day, and the gap holds whether you go before or after 3pm. Klook’s own current listing for this ticket shows a starting price from $18.99, which moves with the exchange rate and whichever date and slot you pick, so treat the yen table above as the real reference point rather than the dollar figure.
Sunset slots sell out first and fastest, so if you specifically want the after-dark view, book that slot several days ahead rather than same day.
What the ticket includes
- Sky Gate: the entry corridor on the 46th floor, an animated ceiling as you ride the elevator up.
- Sky Gallery: an indoor observation corridor on the 46th floor with art installations mixed in with the view.
- Sky Stage: the open-air rooftop deck on the 47th floor, one of the largest of its kind in Japan, with a dedicated photo spot (“Sky Edge”) and a cloud-shaped hammock you can lie in.
- A 10% discount on food and drinks at the rooftop lounge when you show your Klook voucher.
- No fixed exit time. Entry is by timed slot, but once you’re up there you can stay as long as you like.
The Sky Stage is genuinely outdoors, so it closes to guests during rain or strong wind, weather that closes it doesn’t come with a refund built in automatically, so check the forecast before locking in a slot. The whole thing is also fully wheelchair accessible, with priority lifts between the 46th and 47th floors.

A single Shibuya Sky ticket alone probably won’t clear the $50 cart minimum for the new or existing user tiers above, but it’s rare to book just one thing on a Klook cart for a Tokyo trip. Add a second activity, a transit pass, or an airport transfer to the same checkout and the code applies to the whole cart, Shibuya Sky included.
Getting there
Shibuya Scramble Square is a one minute walk from the south exit of JR Shibuya Station, about as central as it gets. If you’re coming by subway, exit B2 has a direct elevator up to the 14th floor ticket lobby, no need to surface at street level first.
